Emergency Response Solutions, a MSA, CARE, and RITE certified leading equipment supplier for the State of Minnesota, came out to perform the annual breathing apparatus flow test this morning. Using a mechanical lung that breaths at two different rates using static pressure they were testing for leaks that could potentially compromise the safety equipment during use. This test included gathering data on a computer and listening for the high pitched alarms giving the technician the diagnostics to make adjustments or needed repairs. These annual safety equipment tests are not only a requirement but they also keep our volunteer firefighters safe while out on calls and in return keeping our community safe.
